Restored Healey Body Panels

I’m not trying to make things difficult but I have found that describing corroded or damaged body panels is impossible therefore I have decided to sell  the few that I have left in stock in restored condition only.
The restoration work has, or will be, done by a former employee who used to do all our metal restoration work using masses of patterns and bucks which he has accumulated over the years.

Such panels will be supplied in ready to install condition with hammered butt welds and no paint or filler.
Mounting holes in the replaced areas may have to be drilled, as variations can occur from car to car, and minor “spot putty” will be required during the refinishing process.
The insides are not usually completely stripped or cleaned because, if you require this, it is more cost effective for you to use your time rather than pay a skilled panel beater to do it.

I have a VERY limited number of most of these panels and when they are gone they are gone.
The prices ($US) for the restored panels are as follows:
FENDERS
6 Cyl convertible front $1050ea. 1 (left side) only.
6 Cyl roadster front $1150ea. (1 pair available)
BN1 LH front $1250ea. (1 available)

BN2 Front 1pr completed $1100ea.
BN2 & 6 Cyl rear $950ea. (1 right completed)
BN1 rear $1050ea.  1 pr completed
I have one new reproduction 6 cylinder right rear fender which, typically, does not fit.  Anyone can have it for $100 + shipping, but believe me you would be better starting off with one from a ’53 Buick Special. SOLD
SHROUDS
4 Cyl front $2700 (3 available)
6 Cyl roadster front $2600 (1 available)
6 Cyl conv front (single light) $2900 (1 available)
6 Cyl conv front double light $2900 (1 available) SOLD
4 Cyl rear $2600 (4 available)
6 Cyl 2 seater rear $2800 (2 available)
6 Cyl 4 seater roadster rear $2300 (4 available)

6 Cyl conv (early) rear $2900

6 Cyl conv (late) rear $2900
For panels which are not in finished stock I will require a 50% deposit with each order.
Depending upon the amount of work we have ahead of us production of a finished panel can take up to 4 weeks.

As mentioned earlier if these panels have to be shipped there will be a crating charge which is typically $80 for fenders and $150 for shrouds. All prices in $US.

I have piles of other parts as well. You can download the full list of used parts here:

  1. Hello,
I’m also looking for a BJ7 front shroud.

    Have any?

    Shipping to Lodi CA.

    Thank you,
    Marc

  2. Restoring a 1954 100-4 BN1 looking for a right front fender in steel, wouldn’t have to be perfect, we are repairing/replacing everything at this point. Shipping would be to Chippewa Falls Wisconsin USA

  3. I’ve been “refreshing” my Phase II BJ8 and when I stripped the paint in preparation for a new paint job, I found that the rear shroud had been severely damaged and restored with a lot of bondo. Do you still have any rear shrouds for late model BJ8s (#42883) that are in decent condition? My other choice is AH Spares.

  4. Your inventory of AH panels shows you have several trunk lids for 100`s–I have a BN2 100M—If so, how much are you asking for a boot lid?
    Thanks

  5. I have what I believe is a 100-6 1959. I still need to verify this. I do need a front shroud. Can you help ? Thanks Kelly

    1. Hi Kelly,
Yes I have a 100/6 front shroud available.
If the engine in your car has an engine number plate on it and the first 2 numbers are 26 then your car is almost certainly a 100/6.
If the plate is missing things get a little more difficult as the 3000 MkI is very similar in most respects.

  6. Dear Michael,
I am looking for a complete roll-up window assembly for a late model BJ8 (window, channels, vent window, winder mechanism). Please let me know if you can supply these parts and and an approximate cost. Thanks much, John

  7. Michael,
I like your website. You obviously have an indepth knowledge about Healeys and I thought you just might information or the particular part I am trying to locate. It is a ‘lockring'(part # 17H6536 as listed in the late Healey 3000 Mechanical Parts Steering Section) as was used on the Austin Healey and possibly other BMC C series steering columns back in the 60s and possibly
the 70s. It is a splined collar, several inches long, with a pince bolt that fits the splines on the adjustable steering column and has a slot into which the steering column/ignition lock pin fits when the vehicle is parked and the ignition key is removed. It then locks the steering column. I am quite sure this will only be found on an old column of which VERY few
locking mechanisms were installed. Any reply will be
greatly appreciated and Thanks for your time in checking on this.
    Best Regards,

    ichael,

    1. Mr. Michael, Wow it has been over 6 years since I did my last inquiry!
I certainly hope you and your are all well during these difficult times. I was the one bought your oem Burgess exhaust for the Healey BJ8 down in Florida, so you might remember me. Another item I am still trying to locate is the OEM BMC part # 17H6536 “lockring” that was installed on German, Swedish and other European spec export later big Healeys. The original was missing and I tied to fabricate one that worked for awhile and then failed. It’s a small collar with a slot that fits inside the upper column and held in place with a pinch bolt. The column lock by Neiman has a pin that engages the slot thereby locking the column when the key is positioned to park and removed. Is it possible you may have one on one of your many columns that needs a new home? Let me know if you have a chance and Merry Christmas regardless! don in North Carolina

      1. Hi Don, no sorry I can’t help with that locking ring. I’ve never had an opportunity to work with those steering locks. Best for Christmas.

        M

  8. Hi Michael.
Need rhs steering arm for a BN6. Mine is bent and I presume not repairable.
I’m not in a hurry so you need not make a special trip.
    Let me know price. Thanks
